happiness # 26
the way in which the world is so... real. watching clouds just now: they are real, i see them, i know they are there. touched a tree: it exists. i breathe: i am here. all is now, and now is an explosion of the wonderful. for no reason whatsoever, which makes everything peculiar. and real.

song of the day (a thursday, somewhere in the void of space)
Weird Al Yankovic - Dare to Be Stupid
always, always, always makes me happy. it's... eh... über! silliness may very well be one of the hardest arts to master. (by the way, should you be interested, the clip is weird as hell too, and therefore definitely worth it!)

a message to myself
And with these words I can see
Clear through the clouds that covered me
Just give it time then speak my name
Now we can hear ourselves again
(from Pink Floyd's song Wearing the Inside Out)

i won't scoff the hoff
did i give the impression that i have something against David Hasselhoff? did i? well, i don't. the Hassler always gets me in a good mood. all hail the hoffmeister!
a real blog post! the grafik nophel one!
yup, a real blog post this time. something about my own personal life! i guess i needed that so the blog-police wouldn't come round and start asking questions. or placing anal probes which would come out at strange times and play the tune of Knight Rider. and i sure do not wish my rectum to be in any way associated with David Hasselhoff, even if it looks like him.
aaaaaaanyway
i'm working on a graphic novel nowadays, together with a guy whose last name cannot be pronounced (and i will not attempt spelling it either -- it's after 3 am, you know). but should you be interested, here's his blog (any kind of publicity will do him good, and, indirectly, me too, as he's my "visual artist" or something, and the more famous he gets, the more our graphic novel will sell. is this shameless publicity? yes, it is. why? because i can! shouldn't there be a ")" around here somewhere? i guess so. here goes) (i lost my train of thought now, what was i saying) (oh yeah, here's his blog) http://jangojim.blogspot.com
go and have a ball. he's really funny at times, if you like that kind of thing. and no, i didn't mention his site just so we would sell more, i really think he does a commendable job, and he's got his own style, which can be a rare thing to come across.
ok wait. so the only bloggish thing about this post is the one sentence mentioning that i'm working on a graphic novel, and all the rest is filler? dammit, i'll never learn.

a four ton mantis on a tired mind (impressionism alert)
there's a stomp, a blind stomp. there are foot soldiers, they are the ones stomping, and it's everywhere. it's sound but i feel it. jagged rhythms occur in semiset patterns, intertwine and scream with big eyes for attention. i love them, but they do not know me, nor do they see or hear me. i do not exist for them, this is a one-way mirror. it's sad, isn't it? but that's the way the cookie crumbles: it crumbles, and you'll never eat every bit of it. just listen. weird piano-like jumps of a godzilla monster is hiding between guitar itches. should we be afraid? the foot soldiers, and maybe we're in asia. there's noise, too. beautiful noise, in the way that ruins can be pretty too, or explosions. or crumbling cookies. the footstomps. why all these thoughts, and why tell of them? i'm somewhere inside a song, and it's everywhere. it's a sound but i feel it. i wish i were a musician; i'd never stop playing, i'd never stop listening, i'd never stop listening.

song of the day (Tuesday, but actually Sunday, because then i listened to it after jogging, and it was excellent, love the complex structure)
Tool - Jambi
...always nice to find music on which time has been spent and doesn't follow a set pattern.
